MBPi
Revisions
The following revisions of the MPi exist:
Introduction
The MBPi is a host adapter that interconnects a
Raspberry Pi® processor board
processor board with a MakerBus. The MBino has the
following features:
-
The MBPi has an NXP LPC1754 Cortex-M3 ARM
embedded microcontroller with 128K flash
memory and ??K of RAM memory that can be
programmed to perform real-time tasks that
are not suitable for Linux running on the
Raspberry Pi.
-
The MBPi has a terminal block and 5V DC-to-DC
connector that allows the Raspberry Pi to be
powered from a battery.
-
The MBPi can force MakerBus modules to perform
a hardware reset. (The MBino from revision C
onward supports this.) This permits firmware
field upgrades over the Makerbus.
-
The MBPi can force the LPC1754 to reload its
firmware.
