This is one of my CNC projects and it is currently a work in progress.
The goals of the CNC buffer board project is to provide a serial to parallel interface for driving a CNC machine with several axes of step and direction interface. The buffer board has enough on board buffering to deal with the fact that the operating system that is providing the commands has no real time guarantees.
