This the third attempt a extensible device programmer and it is currently a work in progress.

EMDP3 Bases

Introduction

An EMDP3 base connects to the host compute via some sort of appropriate communication technology (e.g. RS-232 serial, USB, Ethernet, etc.) It contains circuitry to interface to the EMDP3 bus and a microcontroller for implement the EMDP3 interpreter.

Currently, there is only one EMDP3 base under development:

EMDP3 Serial Base

This base communicates with the host computer either via an RS-232 serial cable or an RS-422 signal using an 8-wire RJ45 cable.
